He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 60 years Carolyn “Corky” (Stofflet) children Carolyn (Scott) Molander, Mark (Diane) Andretti, Mary Jo (Bobby) Dial, and Adam (Tabitha) Andretti and John’s widow Nancy (Summers) Andretti. Aldo was preceded in death by his sister Anna Maria Burley and his beloved son and buddy, John Andretti. He also instilled the importance of maintaining an immaculate car and keeping your fingerprints off the windows. Above all, Aldo loved his family and instilled in his children and grandchildren the importance of supporting one another. Perhaps the proudest day of his life was the day he flew test maneuvers in an F-15 fighter jet. Aldo was also a strong supporter of our troops. Aldo co-owned and operated Andretti Firestone in Speedway and Crawfordsville, Indiana for many years, but his pride and joy was his precision screw machine shop, Aldo Andretti Machine and Engineering. He could often still be found on the racing circuit supporting and following the careers of his family. Aldo forever shared a passion for racing and was a true motor enthusiast and entrepreneur. He and his twin brother, Mario, went on to become the start of the greatest racing dynasty in history. Aldo and his family emigrated to the United States in 1955. Aldo was born Februin Montona, Italy to Alvise “Gigi” and Rina (Benvengnu) Andretti. Aldo Andretti Aldo Andretti passed peacefully on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, eleven months after losing his son John to colon cancer.
